Marvel Studios has released the final trailer for “Avengers: Infinity War,” with just a few weeks from the film’s release in late April.Intended to be the sequel to 2012’s Marvel’s The Avengers and 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, the film will feature superheroes from Marvel Cinematic Universe all together to stop Thanos (played by Josh Brolin) from collecting the Infinity Stones. With the Avengers joining forces, its definitely not going to be easy.
“The entire time I knew him, he only ever had one goal. To wipe out half the universe,” Gomorra warns the Avengers in the trailer.
Marvel fans know this won’t be the last from MCU as Infinity will be followed quickly by Ant-Man and the Wasp in July, and Captain Marvel next Spring, not to mention Black Panther which is currently dominating the boxoffice.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is set for release on April 23, 2018, with the sequel scheduled on May 3, 2019.
Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
