Production for New Line Cinema’s highly-anticipated horror sequel IT: Chapter Two production is taking shape as two more supporting roles join the cast.

Xavier Dolan, who is also set to appear this September in Joel Edgerton’s Boy Erased, and Will Beinbrink (Manhattan Night) are said to have jumped on board the sequel to one of the most successful horror films of all time, Deadline is reporting. Director Andy Muschietti, who helmed the original comes back for the sequel.

The two join an huge cast which includes James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, and Bill Skarsgard returning as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

The film, based on the second half of Stephen King’s 1986 novel of same name written, picks up years after the events of the first movie, with The Losers’ Club now adults and lured back to their Derry, Maine to face off against Pennywise once again.

The success of “It” (Chapter One) last year somewhat guaranteed the sequel. That film broke boxoffice records and grossed $700 million worldwide against a production budget of $35 million, making the film one of the most profitable films of all time.

“It: Chapter Two” is currently scheduled for a September 6, 2019 release date.
