The “Electric Lounge” returns to Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival May 16-18, 2025.
Today, Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival, in collaboration with Tiki’s Music, makes its highly anticipated return from last year, bringing an exciting new experience to festival-goers! The Electric Lounge is back, bigger and better than ever, with an expanded space, a fresh vibrant look, and a dynamic lineup that promises to elevate the dance music scene The lounge will immerse attendees in a space filled with infectious beats, retro-inspired art, and unexpected surprises throughout the weekend. Get ready for a high-energy atmosphere that will keep you dancing all day and night.
This year’s Electric Lounge curates an eclectic mix of artists from across the country and South America, blending a range of dance music styles while maintaining a cohesive flow each day. With a nostalgic funk aesthetic, colorful lighting, and immersive décor, the space is designed to radiate electric energy, creating the perfect setting for free-flowing movement and expression.
Friday: Energizing the Atmosphere
Kicking off the weekend with high-energy excitement, Angrybaby brings his blend of up-tempo bpm’s and infectious melodies. Joining him is Daft Hill, flying in from Brazil to deliver a set filled with irresistible ID’s, along with Mia Moretti, known for her lively sets that blend classic, vocal, and gospel house. You won’t want to miss Chicago underground talent Proppa, ready to deliver the “Proppa Treatment,” or California’s own The Botanist—your new favorite artist, whose sets are simply cinematic. This lineup also features Casmalia, a singer, songwriter, and producer who continues to make her mark in the industry, and Groove Affair, a duo project between Jenny Voss and Chris Grooves that will surely get you moving.
Saturday: Teleportation into the Minimal
Experience a day devoted to the global sounds of minimal house. Ferra Black will guide you on a journey through Latin influenced house and tech house, while rising star Slugg blends old-school hip-hop with hypnotic drum progressions, delivering a distinctive mix that will keep listeners engaged. Hailing from Argentina, the globe-trotting Jay Huncho brings his signature fusion of hip-hop and Latin house, while emerging artists JustJoe and Apex Martin keep the energy flowing. San Diego’s own Monción is quickly gaining recognition, and will be one to watch.
Sunday: A Final Dance to Remember
As the festival winds down, Sunday at the Lounge offers a chance to reset, take a breath, and give it everything you’ve got. Closing out the weekend is Amtrac, a highly respected name in electronic music, guiding us through the final stretch. Joining him is Familiar Faces—a multifaceted producer, singer, songwriter, and visual artist—along with San Diego’s own Burko. Bringing the energy we need to push through is Babsy., alongside the emerging, genre-blending talents of Dazzle Camouflage and Blue Jade.
