Suicide Squad Tracking for a massive $125 million debut

If early boxoffice tracking is any indication, DC’s latest superhero movie could debut to a massive $120 million weekend in North America. If this early estimate hold from Hollywood Reporter, the the superhero team-up picture will set a new record for the month of August, beating the current record holder Guardians of the Galaxy when it opened to $94 mllion in 2014.

The movie stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adwale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.

Advance tickets for Warner Bros. Pictures‘ Suicide Squad will go on sale tomorrow Friday, July 15.

Suicide Squad will open worldwide in 3D, and in 2D, and in select IMAX 3D theaters beginning August 5, 2016.
