Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted the first full trailer for “Crazy Rich Asians,” giving us a first look at all the luxury, romance and socialites. The film is an adaptation of the novel from Kevin Kwan of the same name.

The first trailer, which comes on the heels of a teaser released last Thursday, premiered on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

The film focuses on an ordinary American-born Chinese economics professor Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend Nick Young ( Henry Golding) for a wedding. “We’ve been dating for over a year now, and I think it’s about time people met my beautiful girlfriend,” he says.

But when she arrives there, she finds out that her boyfriend is, as the title says, crazy rich, thrusting her in the life of the wealthy and ridiculously wealthy where every woman wants her man.

Also in the film are Gemma Chan, Lisa Lu, Awkwafina and Michelle Yeoh. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Now You See Me 2), from the script by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim.

“Crazy Rich Asians” is set for release on August 17.
