Iron Maiden Add Surprise Third North American Leg to 50th Anniversary Tour

Iron Maiden are coming back to North America in spring 2027 for one more run.

The metal icons just wrapped a massive leg of their Run for Your Lives tour across the U.S. and Canada, and now they’re adding 16 more dates, hitting cities they missed the first time around. The tour kicks off April 14 in Tacoma and wraps May 16 at the Boardwalk Rock festival in Ocean City, Maryland.

“Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027,” bassist Steve Harris says, “but we’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East.”

The shows will feature the same dramatic production as the first leg, with a setlist pulled from the band’s early career. Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age will support on all dates, marking the first time since 1983 that Maiden has put together an all-British three-band bill.

This will be the final leg of the Run for Your Lives tour, which by the end will have played 107 shows to over 3 million fans in 36 countries. Manager Rod Smallwood says the first leg saw some of the biggest shows Maiden has ever played in North America, including their first U.S. stadium headliners.

Tickets go on sale October 23. Eddie’s Dive Bars will return at every stop.

Lindsay Lou Releases Final Episode of Bluegrass Women Docuseries Celebrating Female Songwriters

Lindsay Lou just dropped the fourth and final episode of her docuseries documenting Bluegrass Women, her acclaimed project shining a light on female songwriters who’ve been quietly shaping bluegrass for decades.

The album itself brings together heavy hitters like Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Aoife O’Donovan, Sarah Jarosz, and Laurie Lewis to perform ten songs written by women, many of whom never got the credit they deserved. Ola Belle Reed’s “I’ve Endured” was popularized by Del McCoury. Ma Rainey first recorded “C.C. Rider,” but Elvis made it famous. Ricky Skaggs’ “All I Ever Loved Was You”? Written by his mother, Dorothy Skaggs.

The docuseries captures the energy behind the sessions, the camaraderie of women navigating a male-dominated genre, cross-generational connections, and even Lou and producer Shani Gandhi preparing for motherhood. It’s less about the technical details and more about the human side of creating something rare.

“Just like having pickers like Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull out there showing little girls that there is a place for them now in bluegrass, I want to show where there always has been,” Lou says.

The New York Times called it “an all-star album,” and Billboard noted it’s giving “a long-overdue spotlight” to older generations of women songwriters. Lou just wrapped performances at CaveFest and heads to the IBMA conference in Chattanooga next for a live eTown radio taping.

This is what it looks like when a community decides to remember its own history.

Nickelback Plot Massive Global Arena Tour Behind New Album

Nickelback are hitting the road hard in 2027. The Canadian rock band just announced the Everything Under the Sun Tour, a global arena run supporting their eleventh studio album of the same name, out October 30 via Virgin Music Group.

The tour kicks off February 6 in Pittsburgh and runs through May 1 in San Antonio before heading to the UK and Europe from May through July. An Australian leg wraps things up in October. Don Broco joins as direct support.

The announcement comes as Nickelback’s latest single “Rattle The Cage” featuring John 5 sits at No. 1 on Active Rock radio in the U.S. The track introduced the new album with heavy guitars and arena-sized energy, while follow-ups “Leave Me Behind” and “Make Me Love You” show a more vulnerable side.

This tour follows the band’s Get Rollin’ World Tour, which became the fastest-selling and highest-attended run of their career. Their Netflix documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback also hit the platform’s Global Top 10, pulling back the curtain on the band’s two-decade journey.

North American presales start October 13, with general on-sale beginning October 16 at LiveNation.com. The band has sold nearly 65 million albums worldwide and racks up more than 50 million monthly listeners. Say what you want, Nickelback still fills arenas.

HAAi Drops DIGITiSE, Her Big Rave Follow-Up to HUMANiSE

London-based, Australian-born DJ and producer HAAi just released DIGITiSE, a dancefloor-focused album that picks up right where 2025’s HUMANiSE left off. She calls it the “bigger, ravey sibling” of that critically acclaimed record.

“DIGITiSE holds the hand of HUMANiSE and walks it to the club,” HAAi says. “I’ve spent so many hours in clubs, on the dance floor and in the booth, and I really wanted to put that into this new album.”

The record features collaborators including Skybreak and Cantoalegre, a children’s choir from Medellín, Colombia. The standout track ‘Talking Walls’ brings together HAAi, Skybreak, and the choir for what HAAi describes as “one to hug your mates to at the festival.”

HAAi has been testing the tracks in her DJ sets, refining breakdowns and grooves based on real-time crowd reactions. She’s got a packed tour schedule ahead, including a 10-hour open-to-close marathon at Refuge in New York on October 18, an all-night Halloween set at EartH in London, and an Australian tour with The Avalanches in March 2027.

The album continues exploring what it means to be human in an increasingly digital world, gathering people on the dancefloor to feel community and unity.

DIGITiSE is out now on Mute.

Def Leppard and Goo Goo Dolls Plot Massive 45-Date North American Tour for 2027

def-leppard-goo-goo-dollsRock legends Def Leppard are hitting the road with Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts for a monster 45-date North American tour kicking off next spring.

The trek launches March 2 in Allentown and runs through July 2, hitting every major market across the U.S. and Canada. Tickets go on sale October 16, and every ticket sold puts a dollar toward City of Hope cancer research.

Def Leppard just wrapped their third sold-out Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace and have been packing arenas across the UK, Europe, South America, and Mexico. Their Greatest Hits compilation just landed in four UK charts, two in the Top 10. Not bad for a band with 11 million monthly Spotify listeners and 110 million albums sold worldwide.

Goo Goo Dolls bring serious momentum. Their diamond-certified hit “Iris” just topped 6 billion streams globally, with over 1 billion coming in 2025 alone after going viral. The four-time GRAMMY-nominated band holds the all-time radio record for “Most Top 10 Singles” and has sold 15 million records.

British rockers The Struts round out the bill, bringing their glam-rock energy and hits like “Could Have Been Me” and “Body Talks.”

For rock fans craving high-energy arena shows, this one’s stacked.

Scottish Indie-Pop Trio BIS to Play First U.S. Show in 25 Years at Powerpuff Girls Cast Reunion

A Glasgow band that soundtracked a generation’s Saturday mornings is coming back to the States for the first time in over two decades.

BIS, the indie-pop trio behind The Powerpuff Girls’ original end theme, will perform at The Heroes of Townsville on November 7 at Glendale’s Alex Theatre. It’s their first U.S. concert in more than 25 years, and it’s happening alongside a full reunion of the show’s original voice cast and creative team.

The event brings together Catherine Cavadini (Blossom), Tara Strong (Bubbles), E.G. Daily (Buttercup), series creator Craig McCracken, and Lauren Faust. Linda Simensky moderates, with Eric Bauza hosting.

BIS made their name in the ’90s with tracks like “Kandy Pop” and “Eurodisco,” mixing pop hooks with punk energy and disco rhythms. But for a whole generation of animation fans, they’re the sound of Cartoon Network childhood. Their music also turned up in the Jet Set Radio games, cementing their cult status.

Saturday Morning Cartoons United is producing the fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting Starlight Children’s Foundation and the nonprofit’s ongoing animation celebration work. The night also features Next Friday: Magical Meow Meow, an indie animated short by Jen Nguyen and Mary Ramos, plus a pop-up marketplace and photo ops.

It’s a rare crossover moment: the voices, the creator, and the music that helped make The Powerpuff Girls a pop-culture fixture, all in one room.

Stephanie Economou Blends Grunge and Sci-Fi for HBO’s ‘Lanterns’ Soundtrack

Grammy winner Stephanie Economou just dropped the full soundtrack for HBO Max’s Lanterns, and it’s a wild mix of ’90s rock grit and cosmic sound design.

The composer pulled from Nirvana, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, and Portishead to build the musical DNA for John Stewart, Hal Jordan, and the town of Rushville. She layered traditional guitars and drum kits with found sounds like glass bottles, scrap metal, and chains, then threw in synths to create what she calls a “tactile, dynamic sonic world.”

For the Green Lantern Corps and alien species, Economou went full experimental. Reversed violas, degraded strings, trombone mouthpiece sounds, and processed upright basses created the unsettling alien motifs. The Lanterns theme itself bends and shifts in ways that hint at something off about the Guardians.

The soundtrack also includes “Away From Home (Rushville’s Lament),” an original song featuring Ari Mason and Wayne Ingram. It’s meant to capture the resilience of the people caught in the cosmic chaos.

Economou made history in 2023 as the first-ever Grammy winner for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games. Now she’s bringing that same boldness to a major superhero series, proving indie-minded composers can reshape blockbuster sound.
