The Doobie Brothers Announce 50th Anniversary Tour Featuring Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons & John McFee

Four-time GRAMMY Award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees The Doobie Brothers today announced a 30-city North American tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s founding. TOM JOHNSTON, MICHAEL MCDONALD, PAT SIMMONS and JOHN MCFEE will be back on tour together for the first time in nearly 25 years. The announcement came at the conclusion of the band’s performance at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, in which they played two of their iconic albums, Toulouse Street and The Captain and Me. MICHAEL MCDONALD took to the stage during the band’s encore and gave a surprise performance of The Doobie Brothers’ smash hit single, “Takin’ It To The Streets,” before Pat Simmons announced that the entire band would be teaming up for a North American tour.

Tickets to THE DOOBIE BROTHERS 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, December 6 at 10am local time at LiveNation.com. First Trailer To “Scoob!” Gives Peek At Shaggy & Scooby Origin

Warner Bros. has released the very first official trailer for Scoob!, the upcoming American computer-animated adventure comedy film, which features how the Scooby-Doo and long-time best friend Shaggy Rogers.

The trailer, which shows some of the characters in their teens and their younger years, starts with young Shaggy meeting a homeless young pup at the beach. When an offers arrives to take Scooby, Shaggy claims The Great Dane. “He’s not a stray!,” Shaggy said, then naming him “Scooby Dooby Doo” to prove it.

Frank Welker is voicing Scooby-Doo, which he has done so since 2002, while Will Forte is Shaggy. Tony Cervone directed the film, from a screenplay by Kelly Fremon Craig.

Also in “Scoob!” are Zac Efron as Fred Jones, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne and Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly.

Scoob! is set to for release next summer on May 15, 2020.

The first full-length animated Scooby-Doo adventure for the big screen is the never-before told stories of Scooby-Doo’s origins and the greatest mystery in the career of Mystery Inc. “SCOOB!” reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. 2019 People’s Choice Awards Winners

“Avengers: Endgame” took home the top award Sunday night’s 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards, winning best movie during the ceremony which took place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and aired live on E!

Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani was honored with Fashion Icon, P!nk with the People’s Champion and Jennifer Aniston with the The People’s Icon award.

Kevin Hart, who made his first public appearance since he was involved in a serious car accident in September, took home Comedy Act of 2019.

Alessia Cara performed her song “Rooting for You”, while 26-year-old country singer Kelsea Ballerini performed her brand-new song, “Club.

The European Film Awards Announce Nominees

The nominees for the 32nd European Film has been unveiled today, with biographical crime-drama “The Traitor” leading with four nominations including Best European Film as well as nomination for its director Marco Bellocchio.

Also with four nominations are Roman Polanski’s “An Officer And A Spy” and Pedro Almodóvar’s “Pain and Glory.” All three films are vying for Best European Film of 2019 along with Les Miserables, System Cracher, and The Favorite.

Voted on by more than 3,600 members of the European Film Academy, the awards will be presented during an awards ceremony on Dec. 7 in Berlin.

The creation of the European Film Academy (EFA) was the initiative of a group of Europe’s finest filmmakers brought together on the occasion of the first European Film Awards Ceremony held in November 1988. Official Trailer for Apple’s “Servant” from M. Night Shyamalan Unveiled

Apple today unveiled the official trailer for “Servant,” a new Apple Original series from Academy Award-nominated executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (Glass, Split, The Sixth Sense).

Apple’s “Servant” will premiere November 28 exclusively on Apple TV+, a new home for the world’s most creative storytellers. The half hour psychological thriller follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.

Academy Award-nominated executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (Glass, Split, The Sixth Sense) directs the series alongside BAFTA-nominated creator, executive producer and writer Tony Basgallop (Inside Men, What Remains, “24: Live Another Day”). The celebrated cast of “Servant” includes Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under”), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island, Fantastic Four, “Black Mirror”), Nell Tiger Free (“Game of Thrones”), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter franchise, Snatch).

Sadie Sink Leads Cast in Coming-of-Age Drama “Dear Zoe”

“Dear Zoe” is a new independent feature film adapted from the award-winning novel by Pittsburgh author Philip Beard. The adapted screenplay was written by Pittsburgh natives Marc Lhormer and Melissa Martin, and directed by Gren Wells (The Road Within).

“Dear Zoe” stars Sadie Sink as Tess (Stranger Things). Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy, Luke Cage) plays her father Nick, with newcomer Kweku Collins as Tess’ love interest. Justin Bartha (The Hangover, National Treasure: Book of Secrets), Jessica Capshaw (Grey’s Anatomy), and Vivien Blair (Bird Box, We Can Be Heroes) round out the principal cast. This film for all ages is a powerful study of grief and resilience told from the point of view of a 16-year-old girl: a coming-of-age dramedy in which teenage Tess enlists her biological father, a lovable slacker from the wrong side of the tracks, and the charming juvenile delinquent next door to help her come to grips with the death of her little sister. Principal photography will take place in and around Pittsburgh, PA.

Leading the production is Zin Haze Productions, led by Producers Brenda and Marc Lhormer (Bottle Shock) along with independent Producers Peter Phok (Most Beautiful Island, In A Valley of Violence) and Christopher H. Warner (Wind River, Five Feet Apart), along with Emmy award-winning Producer Lizzie Friedman of Priority Pictures (Momentum Generation, The Land). Resonate Entertainment’s Brent Emery (The Stanford Prison Experiment, Carrie Pilby) is also Producing, while Susan Cartsonis (What Women Want, The Duff), and Suzanne Farwell (It’s Complicated, The Intern) are Executive Producing.

Epic Pictures Takes A Ride With Sci-Fi Romance Thriller THE FARE November 19th

Following an acclaimed run on the independent film festival circuit, 501 Pictures and Public Displays of Affection, in a partnership with Epic Pictures and Dread, has announced the US release of D.C. Hamilton’s Hitchcockian romance The Fare.

The sophomore feature from Hamilton stars Gino Anthony Pesi (“Shades of Blue”) as a weary cab driver and Brinna Kelly as his enigmatic passenger, who charms him as her ride begins over and over and over again. Screenwriter and star Kelly reteams with Hamilton following their work on his directorial debut The Midnight Man. Pesi, Hamilton and Kelly produced alongside Kristin Starns.

An homage to “The Twilight Zone”, The Fare has screened internationally and taken home numerous awards including the Special Mention Jury Award at Fantasporto, Best Dark Fantasy/Supernatural Film at the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival, and the Director’s Prize for Overall Concept and Execution at FilmQuest.

The Fare will be available nationwide November 19th on Blu-ray and Digital HD, including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu and more.

Ahead of the Blu-ray and VOD release, Epic Pictures will premiere The Fare for LA audiences on the big screen at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on November 12th.

Final Trailer To “Jumanji: The Next Level” Showcases More Action

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Morgan Turner, Maidson Iseman and Nick Jonas are back in the fantasy adventure comedy sequel directed by Jake Kasdan, with Sony Pictures Entertainment releasing the film’s final trailer on Thursday.

Joining the fun and action this time around are Danny Glover, Danny DeVito and Awkwafina.

The new installment sees teen Spencer missing, prompting his friends to jump back into Jumanji game. But their return to the video game creates confusion when they realize that things are not the same and they’re in new bodies.

The trailer also shows the film expanding from the jungle setting seen in the 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, this time putting the cast in various locations, from mountains to deserts. as well as a few exciting car chases and hilarious body-swaps.

A synopsis of the new film reads: “In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.”

The film is set for release in theaters on December 13, 2019.

The Trailer for ‘The Grudge’ Reboot Released

Sony Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming reboot of “The Grudge,” a supernatural horror film written and directed by Nicolas Pesce

The Grudge is a reboot of the 2004 film of the same name featuring Sarah Michelle Gellar and is based on the Japanese horror franchise Ju-On which was created by Takashi Shimizu.

Following the 2004 original and the 2006 and 2009 sequels, this is the fourth installment the the “Grudge” franchise.

Sam Raimi, the creator of the horror classics series “Evil Dead”, serve as the film’s producers, along with Rob Tapert and Taka Ichises.

The film stars Andrea Riseborough, Betty Gilpin and John Cho, the film is set for release on January 3, 2020.
