“The Amityville Murders” Trailer Explores Origin Of The Horror Story

By Creative Media times

Skyline Films

One of the most enduring american horror stories is going back to its roots, as Skyline Films releases the trailer for “The Amityville Murders.”

The film is based on the story of Ronald DeFeo, Jr., who on the night of November 13, 1974, took a rifle and murdered his entire family in their sleep. In real life, DeFeo was convicted of the murders though he had claimed to have heard voices that plotted against him which eventually led him to carry out the murders.

The trailer seem to follow this story-line as well as some paranormal activity in the house that has been part of the story including “The Amityville Horror,” a book by Jay Anson which was published in 1977.

The upcoming film is directed by Daniel Farrands, who has another horror thriller coming up on the horizon called “The Haunting of Sharon Tate”, one of the few upcoming films based around the tragic story of Sharon Tate and cult leader Charles Manson.

“The Amityville Murders,” which stars John Robinson, Diane Franklin, Chelsea Ricketts, and Paul Ben-Victor is set to have simultaneous theatrical, VOD and Digital HD releases on Feb. 8, 2019.

“Us”: Trailer For Jordan Peele’s New Horror Film Released

By Creative Media Times

Universal Pictures

The trailer for Jordan Peele’s latest horror movie, “Us” dropped Christmas day and its already a hit, scaring up nearly 8 million views on youtube and has already gone viral.

“They look exactly like us,” Lupita Nyong’o’s character says on the trailer. “They think like us. They knew where we are. We need to move and keep moving. They won’t stop until they kill us. Or we kill them.’’

It is no surprise that Jordan Peele’s next feature is already one of the most highly anticipated 2019 films, given that his 2017 directorial debut “Get Out” was both a critical and boxoffice smash.

Like “Get Out”, the upcoming horror thriller is both quirky and creepy. Here we see a family on an innocent relaxing getaway when cissor-wielding doppelgängers shows up and took their vacation to a terrifying turn.

Thanks to the remix of “I Got 5 on It,” the trailer is genuinely twisted, scary and bizarre, the right kind of mix for another potential hit for the actor director and his production collaborators Jason Blum and Sean McKittrick, who had another success this year in “BlacKkKlansman.” It helps that the film’s plot was not fully spoiled and kept vague by the trailer.

Also in the film are Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tim Heidecker, Shahadi Wright, and Evan Alex.

Universal Pictures is set to release the film on March 15, 2019.
