Marvel Unveils World Premiere Of Marvel’s Storyboards This Summer

Marvel’s Storyboards Season 1 will debut for free on Marvel’s YouTube channel and Marvel.com starting Thursday, July 23. Marvel’s Storyboards will feature visionary storytellers including Bobby Lopez, Sasheer Zamata, Taboo, Hugh Jackman, Gillian Jacobs, Johnny Weir, and more.

As a surprise for Marvel fans everywhere, Marvel Entertainment will unveil the world premiere of Marvel’s Storyboards on Thursday, July 23! Fans will be able to tune in to the first season of Marvel’s Storyboards on Marvel’s YouTube channel and Marvel.com this summer – all for free.

Marvel’s Storyboards is a 12-episode non-fiction series following Joe Quesada, EVP, Creative Director of Marvel Entertainment, as he explores the origin stories and inspirations of storytellers of all mediums, backgrounds, and experiences at their favorite spots throughout New York City and beyond. The series will be aired in two six-episode seasons, showcasing a variety of visionary, critically acclaimed storytellers including Bobby Lopez (EGOT winning songwriter, Frozen, Avenue Q), Johnny Weir (former Olympic figure skater), Christian Borle (Something Rotten, Smash), Margaret Stohl (Life of Captain Marvel), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Sasheer Zamata (SNL), Ed Viesturs (high-altitude mountaineer), Natalia Cordova-Buckley (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Nelson Figueroa (former MLB pitcher for the New York Mets), Gillian Jacobs (Community, Love), Samhita Mukhopadhyay (Executive Editor, Teen Vogue), and Taboo (Black Eyed Peas).

Mysterious Challengers Emerge To Face Off Against The X-Men In “X Of Swords”

X OF SWORDS, the next great X-Men crossover, kicks off this September and rages on in October with Chapters 3-11. Over the last few days, the covers for the October chapters were unveiled, and fans got their first look at the X-Men’s newest foes in Pepe Larraz’s cover of X OF SWORDS: STASIS #1.

This mysterious group of swordbearers come from the land of Arakko, and the X-Men will have to draw swords of their own to defend the new mutant nation of Krakoa. Arakko and its visitors are shrouded in mystery, and none more so than the group’s leader. While her identity remains classified, her story is sure to shock X-Men fans everywhere.

Spinning directly out of Jonathan Hickman’s X-MEN and Tini Howard’s EXCALIBUR, X OF SWORDS will be a massive mutant milestone that each X-Book will take part in. Every current X-Men writer— Jonathan Hickman, Tini Howard, Gerry Duggan, Benjamin Percy, Ed Brisson, Zeb Wells, Leah Williams, and Vita Ayala— have come together to craft a modern epic that will go down in X-Men history! Joined by incredible artists like Carmen Carnero, Pepe Larraz, R.B. Marvel Entertainment And Reedpop Launch New “Marvel Made” Platform For Marvel’s Biggest Fans

Today, Marvel Entertainment unveiled the launch of MARVEL MADE, a new online platform powered by ReedPOP that will offer an exclusive line of prestige Marvel products made to superserve Marvel’s biggest fans. MARVEL MADE is live now, launching with a limited-edition enamel pin set and collector’s notebook bundle featuring art by Eisner Award-winning artist and comic book veteran Skottie Young.

New TV Series Set in the World of ‘The Batman’ Coming to HBO Max

Matt Reeves’ Gotham City is about to get a whole lot bigger.

HBO Max announced today that it’s given an original series commitment to a new drama from The Batman director Matt Reeves, Boardwalk Empire creator Terrence Winter, The Batman producer Dylan Clark and Warner Bros. Television. The show will focus on the Gotham City Police Department and perhaps best of all, will be set within the world of Reeves’ upcoming film.

“This is an amazing opportunity,” said Reeves. “Not only to expand the vision of the world I am creating in the film, but to explore it in the kind of depth and detail that only a longform format can afford—and getting to work with the incredibly talented Terence Winter, who has written so insightfully and powerfully about worlds of crime and corruption, is an absolute dream.”

Marvel and Scholastic To Launch All-New Line Of Original Graphic Novels For Young Readers

Marvel Entertainment and Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, today announced a multi-year Original Graphic Novel program featuring some of Marvel’s most iconic Super Heroes including Miles Morales, Kamala Khan, Shuri and more! Batwoman: The CW Casts Javicia Leslie As New Series Lead for Season 2

The CW has found its new Batwoman. Actress Javicia Leslie (God Friended Me) will take over the lead role in Batwoman Season 2.

As previously reported, The CW isn’t recasting the Kate Kane role following Ruby Rose’s abrupt departure from Batwoman. Instead, Leslie has been cast as a new character named Ryan Wilder.

Ryan Wilder is about to become Batwoman. She’s likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the Batsuit before her. Marvel Comics To Publish New Alien And Predator Stories

Today, Marvel Entertainment announced three iconic franchises – ALIEN, PREDATOR, and ALIEN VS. PREDATOR – will be launching all-new stories with Marvel Comics starting in 2021! Revealed exclusively by IGN, the new comic series will feature new and classic characters from Earth and beyond to explore never-before-seen corners of both the Alien and Predator universes.

Following the debut of Alien in 1979 and Predator in 1987, the films built a cult following and expanded rapidly to include toys, games, novels, and comic books, eventually leading to 2004’s landmark crossover Alien vs. Predator. Marvel’s new stories will draw from all of these properties, building on decades of multimedia storytelling. Get a first look at next year’s deadly new chapter with spine-chilling cover art by David Finch!

“There’s nothing more thrilling than a story that will keep you at the edge of your seat, and Alien and Predator have delivered that time and time again!” C.B. Panel and First Ever U.S. Screening of Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER Announced as Part of Nerdist House 2020

Nerdist will partner with Shout! Factory TV and Team Kamen Rider to bring fans an exclusive virtual panel and screening of Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER as part of the Nerdist House 2020 programming slate. More details and announcements about Nerdist House are forthcoming, but fans of the iconic Kamen Rider should mark their calendars for a July 11 event, which has already been teased by TokuSHOUTsu, Shout! Factory TV’s new streaming channel dedicated to tokusatsu (Japanese live action special effects/genre shows) such as Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Super Sentai.

Details are still being finalized, but the panel will be moderated by Nerdist’s Kyle Anderson and is set to include Team Kamen Rider, Tokunation, Tokusatsu Network, and other special guests. A special message from a Kamen Rider actor will play before the film, so fans should keep an eye on Team Kamen Rider for that reveal. Also noteworthy, Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER will not be streaming anywhere until the end of the summer, so this screening event will be fans’ only chance to watch the film until then.

The Boys Returns September 4 To Amazon Prime Video For A F***Ing Diabolicla Second Season Debut

Fan Favorite Superhero Satire Will Drop Three Episodes on Premiere Day With New Episodes Every Friday Through October 9

June 26, 2020 – Amazon Prime Video today announced that the hit superhero satire The Boys will premiere the first three episodes of its second season Friday, September 4, 2020. New episodes will be available each Friday culminating in an epic season finale on October 9. The news comes on the heels of the cast coming together for a virtual event, hosted by season two guest star Patton Oswalt, that looked back on season one and also dropped hints for the upcoming season. The eight-episode Amazon Original series will be available on Prime Video in more than 200 territories around the world, and is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film.

Today’s streaming event also contained a sneak preview of the new season, with the cast and executive producer Eric Kripke revealing the opening moments of season two.

Creator and executive producer Eric Kripke says, “We cannot WAIT to show you season two. It’s crazier, stranger, more intense, more emotional. In fact, it’s too much — so the Surgeon General** has insisted we air the first three episodes on September 4, then air the remaining five episodes weekly after that.
