The new trailer is also heavy on action, featuring some heart-pounding and hyper realistic air combat, and shots of fighter jets leaving trails of smoke as they spinning through the skies, a factor that made the original a classic and inspired a generation of aviators.Fans of the original should recognize a version of “Top Gun Anthem” playing the background. The iconic instrumental theme for the 1986 film, which was in the original film’s best-selling soundtrack, was composed by Harold Faltermeyer & Steve Stevens. It eventually won Best Pop Instrumental Performance at 1987 Grammy Awards.
