A24 Releases First Trailer For “Mid90s”

By Creative Media Times

A24’s new coming of age comedy-drama is Jonah Hill’s directorial debut. The actor, who he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2013 for “The Wolf of Wall Street”, also wrote the film.

“Fall, get back up,” it says on the film’s new poster, also released today via A24’s Instagram page.

Starring Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges and Katherine Waterston, the trailer shows plenty of skateboarding and 90s-era youth and older siblings issues.

The trailer is surprisingly more serious when compared to the comedic roles Hill is known for, though many may recall his first dramatic role in the sports drama “Moneyball” which earned him an Oscar Best Supporting actor nomination.

Here is the film’s synopsis:

Mid90s follows Stevie, a thirteen-year-old in 90s-era LA who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.

“Mid90s” is set for release on October 19, 2018. Watch the film’s first trailer below:
