Greenwich Entertainment announced today the acquisition of North American distribution rights to Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill directed by Andy Brown and Brian Lindstrom (Alien Boy: The Life & Death of James Chasse).

The Onwards and Upwards, Batterymarch Films, and Submarine Deluxe production had its World Premiere at DOC NYC and Greenwich will release the film in theaters on April 12.

An intimate portrait of a one-of-a-kind singer-songwriter from 1970s Los Angeles, the documentary charts the life of Judee Sill from a troubled adolescence that included armed robbery and prison through her meteoric rise in the music world and tragic early death.

In just over two years, Judee went from living in a car to a deal with Asylum Records and the cover of Rolling Stone . As told by Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Graham Nash, David Geffen and JD Souther — along with Judee herself — the film explores Judee’s unique musical style and the inspiring recent rediscovery of her singular music by a new generation of musicians including Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes, Adrianne Lenker and Buck Meek of Big Thief, Shawn Colvin and Weyes Blood.

Luke Bryan Announces “Mind Of A Country Boy Tour”

Five-time Entertainer of the Year and American Idol celebrity judge Luke Bryan will kick off his 2024 “Mind Of A Country Boy Tour” in Canada in Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome on April 17 with Chayce Beckham and Tenille Arts joining. First Trailer And Poster To Amy Winehouse Biopic “Back to Black” Released

The upcoming biographical film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, from a script written by Matt Greenhalgh.

Marisa Abela as the late British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, who was known for mix of musical genres influences, and for her hit songs like “Rehab” and “Back to Black”.

“Back to Black” is also the title of her second and last studio album,, which was released in 2006, won five Grammy Awards and was a huge international, becoming one of the biggest albums in UK history.

Also in the movie are Jack O’Connell as Amy’s ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, Eddie Marsan and Juliet Cowan as Amy’s parents, Mitch and Janis Winehouse, and Lesley Manville as Amy’s grandmother Cynthia.

The film is set for release on May 17, 2024 by Focus Features.

Today, indie rock titans Pixies and Modest Mouse announced their 2024 co-headline tour across North America with special guest Cat Power joining on all upcoming dates. XX is the 20th anniversary expanded, remastered and reimagined edition of the rock doc DIG!, which looks at the collision of art and commerce through the eyes of two dueling rock bands — The Dandy Warhols and The Brian Jonestown Massacre — now over 27 years on, which adds new narration by The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Joel Gion and features 40+ minutes of never-before-seen footage.

“Twenty years ago, we had 2,500 hours of footage and a five-hour cut, so a lot of really great stuff hit the cutting room floor,” said DIG! The 502s Announce Great American Road Trip Tour

Today, American indie folk group The 502s have announced their Live Nation-produced 2024 trek – Great American Road Trip – across 26 cities in North America with support from Zach Seabaugh and Daniel Nunnelee. The “happiest band on Earth” promises to deliver their signature upbeat folk party performance in support of their forthcoming self-titled album coming out on April 12th.

“Kneecap” Premieres at 2024 Sundance Film Festival

“Kneecap” recently had its world premiere at 2024 Sundance Film Festival on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Prospector Square at Park City, Utah as part of this year’s highlights in the NEXT section.

Directed by Rich Peppiatt in his debut feature, the film provides a semi-fictionalized origins and formation of the ground-breaking Belfast, Northern Ireland-based hip-hop trio Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí, and their dramatic rise to stardom.

Peppiatt also wrote the script, with Jack Tarling and Trevor Birney as producers.

“Kneecap” is the first Irish-language film to premiere at Sundance. Michael Fassbender also co-stars in the film, along with Simone Kirby, Jessica Reynolds, Fionnula Flaherty and Josie Walker. All three rappers play themselves in the film in their acting debuts.

After the showing, the group cast and the filmmaker took the stage to discuss the movie.
