“What’s done is done when we say it’s done,” says Ethan Hunt in the latest trailer for “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”.
Paramount Pictures
Cruise himself posted the trailer on his Twitter account, and its packed full of daredevil stunts, thrilling practical effects and impressive set pieces that we have come to expect from Cruise and the highly successful franchise.
We also get to see more of Cruise’s Hunt in fights with mustached Cavill as brutal assassin August Walker. It is an interesting dynamics, where Cruise is on the run once again while Cavill keeps him on his toes and has shoot to kill orders if Hunt goes rogue.
Some might remember that Cruise broke his ankle during filming after a dangerous stunt gone awry where the actor leaped from one building to another. The injury shut down the film’s production for more than two months to allow the actor’s injury to heal. Its right here on the trailer, and certainly makes the footage more intense.
The Mission: Impossible film franchise is one of the most successful of all-time, with a worldwide gross of over $2.7 billion to date. Judging by these new promotional materials, the film seem set to deliver some more crazy action this summer.
Franchise regulars Michelle Monaghan, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames are back as well as Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin who were standouts in 2015’s Rogue Nation. Vanessa Kirby is a new addition, as well Angela Bassett who plays a CIA official.
Directed by frequent Cruise collaborator Christopher McQuarrie, who previously helmed Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, Mission: Impossible – Fallout is scheduled for release on July 27, 2018.
Rami Malek of “Mr. Robot” fame transforms into Freddy Mercury in upcoming Queen biopic, set for release this fall. After the film’s rocky production, the film’s trailer is finally here. The film’s trailer recently screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last month.
The trailer’s intro capitalizes on Queen’s iconic songs, including a mashup of “Another One Bites The Dust” and “Killer Queen,” which then led to the film’s titular song.
“This is when the operatic section comes,” Malek as Mercury said at the studio during a recording session of the ground-breaking song.
It closed with “We Will Rock You” playing in the background along with the band’s legendary performance at Live Aid in 1985, six years before the British singer died.
The film co-stars Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse) and Lucy Boynton (last year’s Murder on the Orient Express) among others. Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) wrote the script.
“Bohemian Rhapsody” is scheduled to be released in the United States by 20th Century Fox on November 2, 2018.
If this latest trailer is any indication, it looks like Jack-Jack is about to steal the show as Pixar/Disney has just released the latest TV spot for the “Incredibles 2”.
And just in time for Mother’s Day, we also get to see the superhero clan’s matriarch, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), now apparently a spokesperson for superheroes, front and center. “So things haven’t spiraled out of control the moment I left?,” she says over the phone after her busy day of fighting crime and campaigning for the return of “supers.”
The latest trailer is definitely more action packed than what we have seen so far as Disney enters the stretch of the film’s promos leading to its release in a month.
The original film grossed $633 million worldwide in 2004 and received the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature. The Incredibles also won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
Disney-Pixar originally slated the film to 2019 but later switched release dates with “Toy Story 4.” “Incredibles 2” will hit cinemas on June 15, 2018.
“I think they’re attempting hybridization, they’re upgrading on every planet they visit,” says Olivia Munn’s character Casey Bracket in the first trailer for “Predator”, unveiled today by 20th Century Fox.
The first trailer shows a young boy Rory played by Jacob Tremblay, opening a mysterious package (which he probably shouldn’t). In it we see him pick up an alien object that seem to trigger a spaceship to crash into the earth’s atmosphere. We then see a collage of action scenes, some quick glimpses of the Predator while a scientist try to figure out the threat it poses.
The upcoming film action horror sci-fi is the fourth film in the Predator series. The original, directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard) and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger was released in 1987 and became that year’s second biggest hit (next only to Beverly Hills Cop II). The original film has since been considered one of the greatest action films by genre fans and appeared in “best of” lists in many trade publications.
The film’s director Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys) appeared in the film as radio operator Rick Hawkins who was later ambushed by the extraterrestrial creature.
Also in the film are Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key and Sterling K. Brown. ‘The Predator’ is set for release on September 14, 2018.
Netflix has released an intense new trailer for Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why,” revealing more stories to tell after season 1’s controversial ending. “I just felt like this whole thing was gonna be over. But it’s not,” says Dylan Minnette’s character Clay Jensen.
The teen mystery drama television series, based on the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, follows the story of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) who takes her own life after experiencing a series of demoralizing circumstances brought on my people around her at school, a series she outlined in 13 cassette tapes which she left to her schoolmates.
Season one was told in the same sequence that Hannah made the tapes. The series lead Dylan Minnette is Clay Jensen, a close friend of Hannah who listens to the tapes and narrates what happened to her.
Based on the trailer, Season two will deal more about the aftermath of her death, most likely connecting a few loose ends suggested in last year’s finale episode. The show was also a hit for Netflix and received a few accolades, which somewhat guaranteed the follow-up series.
Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why” is set to premiere on Friday 18 May on Netflix.
STX Entertainment has just released an intense final trailer for “Adrift,” a romance survival drama film set for release this summer.

The trailer shows their yacht riding down massive waves during the storm, with Tami (Woodley) shown rescuing Richard (Claflin) after he’s thrown overboard.
Woodley was last seen on the big screen in 2016’s Snowden and HBO’s acclaimed Big Little Lies. British actor Claflin recently appeared the war drama Journey’s End.
Directed by Icelandic actor, theater and film director Baltasar Kormákur (A Little Trip to Heaven), from a script by Aaron & Jordan Kandell, Adrift was shot in Fiji and New Zealand. The filmarrives in theaters this summer on June 1.
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
As the two avid sailors set out on a journey across the ocean, Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) couldn’t anticipate they would be sailing directly into one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the aftermath of the storm, Tami awakens to find Richard badly injured and their boat in ruins. With no hope for rescue, Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved.
“Leave No Trace” is a compassionate story of a father and daughter living simple lives in the great outdoors, and the circumstances that lead their paths to drift apart.
As simple as that sounds, the film is thought-provoking and powerful, touching on complex issues involving parenting, mental instability, and the alienation of many veterans who choose isolation as their refuge.
Directed by Debra Granik in her third feature film, “Leave No Trace” is a compelling character study that has been thoroughly embraced by film critics since its premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. The story was adapted by Granik and her creative partner, Anne Rosellini, from the novel “My Abandonment” by Peter Rock.
The film stars Ben Foster as Will, a grizzled war veteran suffering from PTSD, living off the grid with his daughter, Tom, played by Thomasin McKenzie in her first major lead role.
The film follows Will and Tom living in a public park outside of Oregon, foraging for food and occasionally traveling by foot to town, primarily to pick up Will’s PTSD medication to sell to other military veterans on the black market. After being spotted in the forest by a jogger, the pair are brought into social services to live conventional lives. They are provided a home in rural Oregon where Will can also work on a tree farm. There, Tom meets a local farm kid who introduces her to his 4-H meetings.
However, it doesn’t take long before they’re back on the road. Will struggles to adjust to their new home and the social structure provided to them. “We can still think our own thoughts,” Will tells his daughter.
One day, while Will is injured and unconscious, Tom interacts with members of the community, meets kind strangers, borrows a dog from a former army medic, and even offers to pay for the temporary abode where Will is recuperating. She experiences a taste of normalcy and seems to appreciate it. But when Will decides it’s time for them to return to the forest, Tom objects.
“The same thing that’s wrong with you isn’t wrong with me,” she says. But this time, Will agrees, foreshadowing what may come next.
Foster is fantastic in the film. He has previously received acclaim for many of his intense roles, such as in “3:10 to Yuma” and “Hell or High Water.” He is more subdued here but fully embodies the character. Even with limited background information about Will, we understand that he is trapped within himself and sense his profound devotion and love for his daughter.
Granik’s prior film, the 2010 mystery drama “Winter’s Bone,” featured a breakthrough performance from the then-little-known Jennifer Lawrence, who later became one of the world’s biggest movie stars. This film might just have the same transformative effect on McKenzie. She displays talent beyond her years, skillfully conveying both the innocence and the evolution of her character.
“Leave No Trace” is a quiet and nuanced film that doesn’t succumb to excessive melodrama, even when the narrative reaches peak emotional conflict between the two leads. Nor does it criticize Will and Tom’s way of life. The beautiful cinematography by Michael McDonough, in fact, invitingly reveals spaces in nature that we know exist in our backyard but seldom experience.
“Leave No Trace” is set to open on June 29, 2018, in cinemas across the US.
“You are a crusader. Now you have to be a warrior. You wanted to steal? Now is your time,” Little John tells Robin Hood in the first teaser trailer for Lionsgate’s upcoming action-adventure film “Robin Hood”.
Taron Egerton is playing the legendary archer, following the footsteps of Errol Flynn, Kevin Costner, and Russell Crowe.
It seem to be a gritty version, though based on this trailer, is not as serious as Ridley Scott’s war epic drama, which was released in 2010. There looks to be a few modern twists to it. In fact some of the action scenes conjures the kind of visuals from Egerton’s blockbuster “Kingsman” franchise.
The story of course is legendary. Robin is stealing from the rich, and seeks the help of Little John (played by Jamie Foxx) to spark a revolt against corrupt powers that be. Ben Mendelsohn (Ready Player One, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), is the film’s villain, playing the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Directed by Otto Bathurst from the screenplay by Ben Chandler and David James Kelly, the film also features Eve Hewson as Maid Marian, Jamie Dornan as Will and Scarlet, Tim Minchin as Friar Tuck.
Robin Hood is set for release on November 23, 2018.
Ever wonder how Nicholas Cage’s Superman would have been like? Now we have an idea, (well sort of) with the actor voicing Superman in “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies” as Warner Bros. released an amusing full length trailer for the film.
The trailer shows plenty of never-before-seen footage satirizing superhero genre and films, while also honoring some of our favorite superhero characters.
As previously announced, the voice cast of the TV series are reprising their roles, including Scott Menville as Robin, Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Tara Strong as Raven and Hynden Walch as Starfire. There is also Will Arnett as supervillain and Robin’s arch nemesis Slade; not to be confused with Deadpool or he won’t be happy.
“Teen Titans Go! To the Movies” also feature Batman (Jimmy Kimmel), Green Lantern (Lil Yachty), Wonder Woman (Halsey) and to Robin’s dismay, Alfred, introduced by Batman on a trailer within the trailer as his “best friend” and “greatest ally.”
“Its time to clean up this city,” says a buffed Alfred moving like a superhero himself.
Directed by Teen Titans Go! writers Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, “Teen Titans Go! To The Movies” is set for release on July 27.
“No force is greater, no bond is stronger, than family,” especially if you have a mysterious otherwordly weapon.
