Music’s biggest night was held on Sunday, with country artist Kacey Musgraves winning album of the year. Musgraves took home the top trophy for her fourth studio album “Golden Hour.”“I never dreamed that this record would be met with such love, such warmth, such positivity,” Musgraves said while accepting the honor. “It seriously means the world to me. I love country music with everything that I am, and I’m very proud to be able to get to share my version of that with the world.”
It was also a big night for Childish Gambino, who’s song “This is America” won four awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, a first for a rap song to achieve such feat.
During the show, the country legend Dolly Parton was also honored with a tribute, which featured Parton performing with Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves, Miley Cyrus, Maren Morris and Little Big Town.
The show was hosted by Grammy winner Alicia Keys, who took over the gig from James Corden. 61st annual Grammy Awards was held on Feb. 10, 2019 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
