Disney has finally released the debut trailer for its highly anticipated Star Wars: The Acolyte, along with its premiere date.

The new Disney+ series, which takes place long before the franchise’s prequel trilogy, stars Amandla Stenberg, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae.

The series is from Leslye Headland, who is the co-creator of Netflix’s “Russian Doll. It is set to stream on Disney+ June 4.

Here is the official synopsis:

“In The Acolyte, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”
