First Look at Couture, Starring Angelina Jolie, Ahead of TIFF World Premiere

The Toronto International Film Festival will host the world premiere of Couture, a drama set during the height of Paris Fashion Week and directed by Alice Winocour. The film stars Angelina Jolie, Ella Rumpf, Anyier Anei, and Louis Garrel, and is presented in the festival’s Special Presentations program.

Written and directed by Winocour, Couture follows three women whose lives intersect against the backdrop of the fashion world. Jolie plays Maxine, a filmmaker in her forties who learns she has breast cancer and forms an unexpected bond with a longtime collaborator, played by Garrel. Anei portrays Ada, an emerging model leaving behind a predetermined future in South Sudan, while Rumpf plays Angèle, a makeup artist working behind the scenes of the catwalk.

Produced by Charles Gillibert, William Horberg, Angelina Jolie, and Zhang Xin, with Bob Xu serving as executive producer, the film explores resilience, connection, and the unspoken solidarity among women across professions and cultures.
