Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Annie Murphy, and Elizabeth Hurley Headline Tubi’s “Breaking Bear” Panel at New York Comic Con

Breaking-BearTubi took center stage at New York Comic Con on October 11 with an exclusive panel for its upcoming adult animated comedy series Breaking Bear, a wild parody that mashes up mobster dramas with talking-animal absurdity. The new Tubi Original will stream exclusively in March 2026 on the free, ad-supported platform.

The panel featured Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Annie Murphy, and Elizabeth Hurley, who joined fans for a first look at clips from the series, including the opening sequence. The cast also teased upcoming Breaking Bear merchandise.

Created by Julien Nitzberg (The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia), the series follows a dysfunctional family of bears who turn to crime to protect their forest home from frackers, mobsters, and rival wolves. Fraser voices “Jer,” the self-proclaimed brains of the family; Gellar plays “Blair,” the overlooked but capable sister; Murphy voices “Tawny,” a human news anchor; Hurley is “Wolf Queen,” the fierce rival of the bears; and Josh Gad voices “Alistair,” the unpredictable youngest sibling.

Produced by Evoke Entertainment (Creepshow, Day of the Dead) and To The Stars Media, Breaking Bear is executive produced by Tom DeLonge, Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, Julien Nitzberg, Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Josh Gad.
