If the title sounds like a wild action treat, its because it is. The trailer for Entertainment Studios Motion Pictures’ “The Hurricane Heist” has been released and its non-stop popcorn cinema at its finest.
Set to the tune of Scorpions hit “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” the film look just as big and visually impressive as some of director Rob Cohen’s other films such as xXx, Dragonheart and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
Rob Cohen also created The Fast and the Furious film franchise so we can certainly expect some crazy fun car chases. The Hurricane Heist was originally called Category 5.
The film stars Lost’s Maggie Grace as the Treasury agent Casey, Kong: Skull Island’s Toby Kebbell as a meteorologist Will, and True Blood veteran, Ryan Kwanten playing his brother. The Hurricane Heist sweeps through the theaters March 9.
Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
A crew of thieves plans the ultimate heist, to steal $600 million from the U.S. treasury facility located on the Gulf Coast of Alabama using a hurricane as their cover. When the storm blows up into a lethal CATEGORY 5 and their well-made plans go awry, they find themselves needing a vault code known only by one female Treasury Agent, a need that turns murderous. But the Treasury agent has picked up an unlikely ally, a meteorologist terrified of hurricanes but determined to save his estranged brother kidnapped by the thieves. He uses his knowledge of the storm as a weapon to defeat the bad guys in this non-stop action/thriller.
