Set in Sag Harbor, New York, the story follows Charles Blakey (Hawkins), an out-of-work man facing foreclosure on his family home. A mysterious offer from a wealthy businessman, Anniston Bennet (Dafoe), to rent his basement for the summer sets off a disturbing psychological and moral spiral.

The cast also includes Anna Diop, Jonathan Ajayi, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr., Pamela Nomvete, and Tamara Lawrance. The screenplay was written by Mosley and Latif, with production by Diane Houslin, John Giwa-Amu, Dave Bishop, and Len Rowlands.
