Denise Boutte (Meet the Browns, Why Did I Get Married?), Jackie Long (Games People Play, ATL, The Comebacks), Ella Joyce (Set It Off, Nina, Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor) and Christian Keyes (Saints & Sinners, No More Mr Nice Guy), star in award-winning Director LazRael Lison’s (Private Number, Reversal, Halloweed) romantic comedy Never and Again. Long and Boutte play former high school sweethearts who reunite 17 years later. Filming just wrapped in Los Angeles.
In Never and Again, two teenagers, Kevin and Jasmine, with equal passion for each other’s dreams, his love for football and hers for music, fall head over heels in love with each other but tragedy and one horrible lapse in judgment tears them apart. Many years later, Kevin (Long) and Jasmine (Boutte), have to trust one another after their paths cross again. Is their first love strong enough for them to save each other now?
Five-time Grammy-award winning recording artist, actor, and producer Master P (I Got the Hook Up 2, Gone In 60 Seconds), Vanessa Simmons (Games People Play, Craig Ross Jr.’s Monogamy), Bebe Drake (Wild Hogs, Space Jam, Friday After Next), and Jayson Bernard (DIVOS!, Halloweed, Pizza & Whine), also star in the large ensemble film, written by Lison.
“This was an amazing experience directing such a great group of talented actors. I was a fan of many of these actors before we started production, and now after watching them in action I’m even more blown away. The levels they took the material was humbling to watch. From our leads to the supporting cast, everyone gave 1000%, and they are going to be so proud of the final product. I can’t wait.” said Lison, writer/director. “Thank you again to everyone who worked tirelessly to bring my vision to life.” he added.
Never and Again is produced by Lison and Tatiana Chekhova-Lison, under their Summer House Pictures banner, with Jayson Bernard and Roberto Rosario, Jr., of J&R Productions, and Tracy Bell of Asah Entertainment. The film is executive produced by Master P, Romeo Miller, Kristi Kilday, and Antonio Trotter.
The film will be released with a 12 Song Soundtrack featuring Yung Joc, Gunna, Brian Angel (Day 26), Willie Taylor (Day 26), Tim Rogers & The Fellas, Isaac Carree, Alex Holt, among others. The Soundtrack will be released by Asah Entertainment.
Rounding out the ensemble cast are Cymphonique Miller (Phineas and Ferb, Big Time Rush, How to Rock, The Troop), Denise Garcia (Pet, Guava Island), and Willie Taylor (Gangland, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood).
