First GOTHAM trailer is out!

By Armando

Fox has released the first trailer for the upcoming Batman prequel tv series “Gotham.” The original trailer just aired tonight during 24: Live Another Day, and this extended version released online.

The trailer shows us a glimpse of McKenzie as Gordon, as well David Mazouz as a young Bruce Wayne. “I promise you, I will find the man who did this,” says McKenzie’s Gordon as he consoles Bruce amid what seem to be an aftermath of the death of Wayne’s parents.

Although the show takes place before Wayne becomes The Dark Knight, the trailer shows a collage of younger versions of iconic Batman villains such as Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, and Poison Ivy early in their escapades.

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie in the lead role as Detective James Gordon, with Jada Pinkett Smith playing a gangster named Fish Mooney.

Gotham is scheduled to debut on Fox later this year.

Trailer: Jupiter Ascending is stunning

By Armando

In an upcoming summer full of reboots and sequels comes the Wachowskis’ original sci-fi Jupiter Ascending.

This is the second trailer of the movie released by Warner Brothers. It fleshes out the story more than the trailer we saw last December, but also feels more of a focused attempt by the Wachowskis to go back to their mainstream roots than their last effort, Cloud Atlas.

Its ambitious, intriguing and action packed, with some of the most incredible visuals I have seen in a while, this movie ascends to top tier of movies I’m looking forward to the most this year.

Directors: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
Writers: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
Stars: Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Douglas Booth
Release Date: 18 July 2014 (USA)

New Godzilla trailer is epic

By Armando

After much anticipation, teasers and movie poster releases over the last few weeks, the Godzilla trailer is finally out and it’s epic!

This new trailer follows the first teaser released months ago. But this one ups the ante further in scale. The trailer doesn’t completely provide a full view of Godzilla, but enough of the the Japanese monster’s scale and detail that gives us glimpses of how much damage and destruction Godzilla will leave in its wake.

Here we see soldiers air-dropping onto the monster, a shot of a damaged Statue of Liberty, and a truly epic shot of Godzilla rising out of the ocean. I also find the premise that the nuclear tests in the Pacific, originally the source of awakening the giant creature, were actually intended to destroy Godzilla is very intriguing.

All that promises a lot of action and suspense which hopefully washes the bad taste of that cheese 1998 version. Overall its looking like a massive improvement. And that Bryan Cranston… he is mad as hell!
Godzilla opens May 16, 2014

Director: Gareth Edwards
Starring: Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen
