Lucasfilm has released the official trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, the franchise’s first theatrical release since 2019.
Set after the fall of the Empire, the film follows Din Djarin and Grogu as they are drawn into a larger conflict involving remnants of Imperial power and a fragile New Republic. The trailer shifts the duo from episodic bounty missions to a broader, high-stakes story built for the big screen.
Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin, with Sigourney Weaver joining the cast as Colonel Ward. Familiar faces from the animated and streaming corners of the franchise also appear, signaling a deeper crossover into the wider Star Wars universe.
Directed by Jon Favreau, the film continues the storyline introduced in the Disney+ series while expanding its scale for theaters and IMAX.
The Mandalorian and Grogu opens May 22, 2026.
