Ryan Gosling and director Damien Chazelle reunites for biographical space adventure drama “First Man”, based on the true story of astronaut Neil Armstrong’s mission to be the first human to set foot on the moon, with Gosling playing the titular role.

This is Gosling and Chazelle’s follow-up to “La La Land,” which earn a record-tying 14 Oscar nominations last year.

“Experience the impossible journey to the moon,” the tagline on the poster says, suggesting the film may deal with plenty of adventure in addition to its inherent biographical story.

The film is based on the book “First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong” by James R. Hansen, and is written by Josh Singer, who won an academy award for Best Original Screenplay for Spotlight.

If that’s not enough, the film have some major talents involved. In addition to Gosling and Foy, the film co-stars Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Shea Whigham, Corey Stoll, and Pablo Schreiber.

“First Man” is set to be released by Universal Pictures on October 12, 2018.
